Is the Cohiba BHK really worth all the hype or is it all show no go? Well after smoking 5 BHK 52's I can say YES! They are outstanding. However I found that they were much lighter then I would have thought them to be. Wonderful cigar with amazing construction. The wrapper was perfect with a wonderful honey golden brown. Notes of graham cracker and honey, with the typically Cuban grassy notes. What is everyone's thoughts on aging? I have purchased 6 boxes total and am laying them down for awhile. I will crack a box in three years and another in 5 years and report back. Happy Smoking!!

Love the BHK 54. Just the right size. Great smoke, different from the others from Cohiba.

Love the BHK 52 the most of all the Behike vitolas. I enjoy them the day I buy them and I equally enjoy them a few months, or a year later. A staple of my humidor.

I really enjoy the original release ones compared to the ones being produced today, which are good just better choices out there for the money Bart

I have yet to try a BHK but it is on my list...mostly because I have not had an opportunity to buy one yet, considering I rarely travel outside of the US it's a little hard to get my hands on one here. And trying to purchase real Cubans online is a no go since the risks of getting counterfeits is to high. One day though!! I am not giving up! lol

Really enjoyed the cigar, but not enough to justify the price tag.

There are lots of legit vendors who sell to the USA. Beehike are pricey, and an occasional splurge. My favourite is the 54, its the right for me anyhow. I would recommend also eating before you smoke one, as they are full on.

Smoked a 2010 BHK 52 a couple months ago and for me not worth the hype and price. For me there are better Cubans out there for the price especially. Got a box of Trini Robusto T's a week ago and I have to say it's maybe one of the best cigars I've ever had. I'd rather get a non cuban Opus X for the price BHK's go for

BHK cigars can be a real treat but they need to rest. A 3-5 year old BHK feels worth the price, but you are not getting your moneys worth if you smoke them fresh. I think it's really a connoisseur oriented cigar. You need to be able to buy a box and forget about it for a few years.

completely agree, I have a bunch of boxes from 2012 and can't wait to give them another try in another 2 years.

PRICES WENT WAHT?! The current rumor is that SA Habanos is hoarding Cohiba's and as such there is a shortage. The prices have soared for all BHK's. What was once $350-450 USD is now trending at closer to $1,000.00 (roughly). Still don't believe me?! Take a look at CoRo Pieces, even that entry level Cohiba has increased in value by at least $100 a box. OUCH

Just bought a box of BHK 52 on PuroTrader. Went super smooth, and the collector was within the US, so no custom probs

Its not an hype i think but more an other level. Its sure that you can enjoy cigar that are lower priced. Like my experiance... the most expensive cigar i smoked was not the best i had.. so price os not the the. I think the behikes and cohibas overall are given much hands and energy and are realy worth it.

I don't think its hype, there is a special process that is required to make that cigar bland and thats what needs to be appreciated. It is very limited in production, for that same reason. It might not be the best cigar but it is a very special cigar. If thats is understood then you should be good to go, in my opinion.
